Vice President Of Sales Hospitality
The VP of Hospitality will provide leadership, direction, and execution of the strategic vision for hospitality, events and advertising sales organization in Asheville, NC. Additionally, this team leader is responsible for specialty hospitality segments such as casinos and cruise ship lines. This includes searching for new business opportunities and optimizing the capabilities of the sales team management teams. This position will play an essential role in maintaining relationships with key accounts, be highly focused on employee performance, establish team process best practices, and develop the tools necessary to sustain long-term PLI growth and profit. This position reports to the CEO.
Summary Of Essential Job Functions
- Maintain good business relationships with current customers
- Build and leverage new and existing relationships within related industries
- Provide customers with complete customer care after the sale and during the production process
- Consult with potential customers to understand their needs; identify and suggest equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
- Identify potential areas of revenue growth within accounts or similar businesses and work with sales team to develop
- Resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
- Provides leadership to the sales team.
- Understand and identify knowledge/skills gaps and on-going needs assessments to deliver targeted training programs that improve performance
- Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new market.
- Continually assess readiness gaps and work with the sales team to close deals and enhance sales productivity
- Ensure sales team keeps account records current in Salesforce and Monarch
- Complete and maintain all tracking and other reports as required
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales goals and strategies
- Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.
- Acts as company representative at trade association meetings
Position Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
- 10 years of industrial sales experience
- 5 years in a sales leadership role. Idally top sales position.
- Proven team and sales management skills
- Enjoys motivating staff and sales force to achieve objectives in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional business plans
- Experience managing cross-functional teams or workgroups as well as direct reports
- Successful track record of budget management and good compliant business practices with an understanding of revenue forecasting and expense budget planning and tracking
- Strong computer aptitude (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce)
