CNC Programmer
Program CNC Machines using the Mastercam program. Programs will be created from drawings and 3D models. Support multiple types and configurations of CNC machines, 2D torches, and lathes up to and including a 3 2 axis machine. Ensure that the finished product meets all specifications and that any changes are documented.
CNC Programmer responsibilities
Job Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of CNC programming using MasterCam or other applicable equivalent software.
- Ability to program simple to complex parts in MasterCam imported from SolidWorks.
- Ability to program arc cutting for high def plasma.
- Ability to record program information on corresponding Solidworks drawings.
- Effectively develop, write, and maintain CNC programs.
- Ability to read, write, and edit programs per company procedures and G-Code level to optimize and debug as necessary.
- Assist in testing and proofing CNC programs.
- Ability to successfully collaborate with a network of support (manufacturing and engineering) to facilitate the completion of assignments.
- Initiates and performs technical activities associated with assignments leading to improvements of existing processes or technologies that significantly impact manufacturing results.
- Use extensive math skills to construct machine programs.
- Familiar with set-up and operation of CNC machines.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of various CNC machining operations, including mill/turns, milling, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to translate all engineering drawing requirements, symbols, and dimensions as required to develop CNC programs.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, but also work well on projects as a team as needed.
- Demonstrates ability to complete tasks and assignments within allotted times.
- Ability to carry out broad assignments and require appreciable originality and ingenuity.
- Ability to spend substantial time working with a computer at a workstation.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend periodically.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive motioned activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Compliance with all safety rules and guidelines.
Mastercam skills
- CNC Programming (MasterCam preferred)
- Can read and understand G & M codes
- CNC set-up experience a plus
- CNC wood router experience a plus
- Understand tooling and cutting process
- Understand blueprints.
- Must be able to do 3D Modeling (Solidworks 3D preferred)
