SUMMARY
The Director of Operations oversees all matters pertaining to production and implements policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness, quality standards and financial objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Assist company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives.
· Develop the manufacturing plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality specifications.
· Oversee Plant production scheduling to maximize production performance.
· Oversee Plant budget, yearly standard cost update, and Ohio incentive program.
· Audit Plant operations and analyze production data for presenting suggestions to top management for review and decision. Audit THM program.
· Manage logistics, including importing operations and ocean freight shipping of doors
· Handle patent-related matters with Legal department and patent attorney as needed.
· Recommend manufacturing policies and programs that help maintain and improve the competitive position and the profitability of the operation. Work with new product development.
· Act as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes and results.
· Hire, develop and evaluate staff. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate.
· Perform special projects as directed by the President.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision is exercised over Operations/Production employees, both directly and indirectly through subordinate managers. The employee generally proceeds independently in accordance with Plastpro policies and procedures within authority established by the President’s Office.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial, mechanical or business administration, and ten (10) years' experience in a manufacturing environment A minimum of five (5) years manufacturing management experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Salary : $124,425 - $207,375
