Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fitzroy Promenade, a luxury multifamily apartment community. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and overall resident satisfaction. This position requires a proactive and hands-on individual capable of responding to service requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the community remains in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance tasks, including HVAC repairs, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general repairs within apartment units and common areas.
• Service Requests: Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of equipment, appliances, and the overall property to identify maintenance issues and perform preventative maintenance to reduce future problems.
• Emergency Repairs: Address emergency maintenance issues and outages to ensure minimal disruption to residents.
• Common Area Upkeep: Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all common areas, including hallways, clubhouse, fitness center, pool area, and grounds.
• Turnover Maintenance: Prepare vacant units for new residents by performing necessary repairs, cleaning, and updates, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the property management team to schedule and perform maintenance tasks while ensuring minimal disruption to resident living.
• Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials needed for maintenance activities. Report any shortages to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately track maintenance activities and service requests through the property management software. Complete necessary work order forms and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training in maintenance preferred.
• Previous experience in apartment or multifamily property maintenance is highly preferred, especially in a luxury or high-end setting.
• Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of conditions, including outdoor environments.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Availability for on-call duties and flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

• Familiarity with property management software and work order systems.
• Experience with landscaping, pest control, or pool maintenance.
