Position : CAD Designer

Location : Midland, TX

SUMMARY

The CAD Designer works under the supervision of the Director of Engineering and is responsible for utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Prepares CAD drafts, drawings, and schematics by using a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers and other team members for successful completion of projects and resolves any discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for creating and editing CAD 3D models and 2D drawings using Inventor / Autodesk software.
• Assist as necessary in creating and maintaining P&IDs and various other equipment-specific documentation such as but not limited to cause / effect matrix, sequence of operations, control narrative, installation, operating manuals, etc.
• BOM management through Internal fabrication drawings
• Responsible for maintaining and upholding company drafting standards and best practices.
• Responsible for processing Engineering Change Notices Design Packages and releasing to all applicable departments.
• Must be able to measure components, acquire missing information, and ask questions necessary to complete the task.
• Will review drawings for adherence to company drawing standards.
• Works closely with engineers to create and alter product designs to create model and drawing packages for quote and production.
• Collaborate with Engineering on product design (custom product builds)
• Equipment layout drawings, piping layout / fabrication drawings, piping isometric, general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, as-built updates as per redline markup, weld maps.
• Submit updated drawings for review through a pre-defined document management workflow
• Proactively responds and adapts in the work environment to meet the highest standards.
• Seek growth in expanding knowledge and skills through training and education.
• Present self in clean, neat, professional manner.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned.
