Quality Control Inspector – Maple Grove, MN
Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Maple Grove, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all parts meet customer specifications through precise inspections during production and final acceptance. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining quality standards and training operators on the proper use of inspection tools.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect parts for conformance to customer specifications using CMM, Optical Comparator, and standard inspection equipment.
- Perform in-process, setup, and final inspections to ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct regular rounds throughout the shop to verify parts meet required tolerances before shipping.
- Train machine operators on the proper use of measuring instruments to ensure accurate and consistent part inspections.
- Document inspection results and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with CMM and other precision inspection equipment.
- Proven experience working with metal parts in a machine shop environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret design blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to work with production teams and management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards.
- Associate’s degree in a related field (Manufacturing, Quality Control, or Mechanical Technology).
