What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher/Customer Service position at Platinum Limousine Service?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs the day-to-day route operations. This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures. Daily communication and interaction with drivers and clients. Very organized, able to multi-task. Monitors and assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance. Tracks and reports sign-in/sign-out times, assures routes are timely, and communicates service issues to the Dispatch Supervisors and/or Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service. Take client calls and communicates issues with drivers, Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers.
- Inputs reservations, dispatch drivers, track flights, clears transports, filing, typing and other office duties as required.
- Monitor telephones, on-road provision of service for quality, and completes driver sign-in and sign-out daily.
- May assign trips to drivers to assure adequate disbursement of trips between all assigned routes.
- Report closed and/or late starting of routes and communicates to Dispatch Supervisors and/or Operations Managers.
- Assist in analyzing and review of operating performance.
- Maintain the highest level of strict confidentiality, professionalism.
- All other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and experience with LimoAnywhere software is a plus.
- Previous experience in a call center preferred.
- Provide excellent customer service. Ability to multitask simultaneously under pressure in a fast pace environment, professional, courteous.
- Pre-employment background check is required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and speak English is required. Able to interpret dispatch documents, safety procedures or government regulations. Prepare reports and communicate with law enforcement officers and the public.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively over communicative devices such as text, mobile and/or walkie talkie with Drivers and other Employees.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, VEHICLES USE:
Able to use all office equipment, and computer programs. No driving will be needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor and outdoor environment with air conditioning and variable weather conditions. Moderate to loud noise levels.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent.
One year previous Dispatcher experience preferred. Two years of Customer Service experience is preferred.
