Job Summary
Your primary responsibility is to generate new customer sales for our pest control services. You will actively engage with potential customers, assess their needs, and offer customized pest management solutions. The role requires a combination of sales acumen, product knowledge, and excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
This job description is not intended to include all of the duties of an Outside Sales Representative.
Duties
- Conduct cold calls, door knocks, and follow-up visits to potential customers to present company products/services
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet revenue targets
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve common goals
- Utilize sales management tools to track progress and report on key metrics
- Log, manage, and report all sales activities in Plainum’s CRM
Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Director of Operation to create and tailor service proposals to meet each client's specific needs.
- Assist and perform (as needed) thorough inspections of client properties to assess pest issues.
- Clearly communicate findings to clients, explaining the recommended pest control solutions.
- Build strong relationships with new clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Work closely with the pest control operations/service team to ensure smooth transitions from sales to service delivery.
- Provide feedback on customer needs and market trends to improve service offerings.
Experience
- 1 -3 years of sales experience, either in a service- based industry or pest control industry, selling to multi-family, property management companies, or nursing homes NOT residential or commercial businesses
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the pest control or service-related industry.
- B2B Sales experience
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of common pests, pest control methods, and industry is a plus.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Prior experience in lead generation and direct sales
