Leasing Associate
OVERVIEW
Local property management company is looking for an enthusiastic, upbeat, driven individual for our full-time Leasing Associate position. Set office hours of Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 1-hour lunch, with rotating emergency line schedule and potential after hour/weekend opportunities.
The right candidate will be a well-organized, quick learner with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer and mobile device competency, and the ability to prioritize and manage their time effectively. Our ideal candidate will have a background or strong interest in Property Management/Real Estate and be able to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment. Willing to train the right person with qualifying experience.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office: Assist in the day-to-day leasing office operations. Light clerical duties including but not limited to answering multi-line phone system, filing, mail sorting; collecting payments; using property management software; corresponding with current and prospective tenants; resolving customer service issues; advertising/marketing and social media management, other office duties as assigned.
Field Work: Showing available rental units, move-in and move-out inspections; managing off-site advertising materials; photographing available rental units; and other off-site duties as assigned.
SKILLS
Excellent communication and customer service skills via phone, email and in person.
Penchant for organization and time management.
Strong record keeping and attention to detail.
Ability to quickly learn new programs and systems.
Works well in team setting while also being self-starter.
Basic leasing and property upkeep knowledge.
Ongoing knowledge of related state RCWs and Fair Housing Laws.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Physical: Ability to lift, pull, push and carry up to 25 pounds; reach above and below the shoulders; use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull; work in inclement weather and walk some distance throughout the day.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of collective related work experience (i.e. sales, customer service, leasing, property management, etc.). Proficient with computers and standard office equipment. Must have working experience with MS Office programs, email, internet, file sharing, social media, and portable devices such as smartphones, tablets and digital cameras.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid Driver License and reliable personal transportation.
Must be insurable for use of company vehicle; requires clean driving history for the last 3 years.
Must consent to pre-employment background check.
COMPENSATION:
Wage: Starting hourly wage $20-23 DOE
Job Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
