Job Summary
We are looking for ambitious and hard-working material handlers to support our growing company’s warehouse operations. Material Handlers perform a variety of tasks that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from inventory, packing and shipping orders, and organizing/maintaining the warehouse. We prize speed and accuracy above all else, so preferred applicants would have a great eye for detail, be thorough, and have basic math skills. Computer experience a plus. Pay will be commensurate with experience and starts at $12 per hour. Full time and part time positions available.
Material Handler Responsibilities
- Pick and pack orders for shipment
- Prepare and ship packages for pickup by various carriers
- Identify/sort small parts
- Count parts manually and with scale
- Verify inventory counts
- Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Inspect products for defects and damages and report any discrepancies
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins
- Maintain safe and clean work environment
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Physical Demands and Abilities
- Frequently required to use hands to handle/feel small parts
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance
- Regularly required to required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Required to be on feet for entire shift
Material Handler Requirements
- Attention to detail (noticing patterns, discrepancies, etc.)

- Working knowledge of computers
- Ability to use spreadsheets, inventory software and databases

- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Positive work history and ability to maintain regular attendance
- Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a warehouse, a plus
- Forklift driving ability and/or certification a plus
- Supervisory experience a plus
