Job Title: Busser (Restaurant Support Staff)

Location: Play Zone (950 N Imperial Ave, El Centro, CA 92243)

Reports to: Shift Assistant Managers and Supervisors

Job Summary:

As a Busser, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will support server staff in ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. This is a non-supervisory, non-exempt role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they arrive.

• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to customer spills or other special needs.

• Maintain cleanliness of tables, restrooms, service areas, and the dining environment.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations, alcohol control policies, and restaurant/bowling policies.

• Clear tables of dishware and napkins after meals and return them to the kitchen

• Clean, sanitize, and reset tables after meals

• Keep floors and chairs near dining tables clean by sweeping/mopping/vacuuming

• Maintain appropriate stock levels of glassware, silverware, and dishware

• Refill salt, pepper, and other condiments

• Assist servers with food delivery as needed

• Keep designated service stations clean and well-stocked

• Stay productive during slow periods by preparing, cleaning, or tackling special projects managers assign.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a wait staff or customer service role is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.

• Basic math skills for handling payments and tips.

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.

• Familiar with point-of-sale systems is preferred.

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the job.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma

• 1-2 years of server or CSR experience

• Food Handlers Card (preferred)

• Certification in responsible alcohol service (preferred).

Physical Requirements and Schedule:

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in a noisy and busy environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
