What began as a pair of blenders, a patio table, and a fridge has flourished into a 300 unit operator and franchisor of the leading fast casual restaurant concept. Playa Bowls added more than 70 locations in 2024 and are on target to add as many 90 new locations in 2025. Who You Are
The Area Manager (AM) is a key member of the Operations team, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Company Operations. This is a regional based role in the South Florida area. Area Manager’s responsibility is to oversee an assigned area of Playa Bowl locations in Florida and is responsible for creating and cultivating the Playa Bowls culture with all team members in the system. They are people developers, and know how to motivate, train, hold accountable and have fun with their teams. They are planners but can also fight fires in the business when necessary. They excel in business planning, driving operational excellence and guest experience. They will provide business acumen and financial management with effective communication. They will perform all responsibilities with the utmost dignity and respect while garnering effective relationships via mutual trust and respect.

What You’ll Do
- Demonstrates the Playa Bowls values of community, respect, integrity, quality and passion in words and actions
- Assess and analyze the shops KPI’s to understand where the stores are performing relative to Playa Bowls brand benchmarks and puts plans in place to achieve results
- Lead, Influence and hold General Managers accountable to achieving KPI’s
- Monitoring shop performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to improve operations and guest satisfaction
- Drives the business through mentoring and training management and builds a personal development plans for their GM’s
- Accountable for Building Great Management Teams in shop from GM to team members.
- Conduct site evaluations and put in place action plans which foster improved overall unit level performance
- Provide written communication within 24 hours regarding visits and evaluation
- Maintain, support, and compliance in the Food Safety and Sanitation
- Complete annual business forecasting and budgets for area of responsibility
- Maintains Operational Excellence in shop every day and ever shift by following all processes and procedures
- Rollout training for all new products and procedures
- Ensure shops are following all processes and procedures to achieve operational excellence
- Conducts Performance evaluations on Team, develops development plans and KPI tracking and holding team accountable for delivering results
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience; previous experience supervising a multi-unit business environment preferred multi-unit supervision required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
- Ability to build strong working relationships with General Managers, Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, Team members and community partnerships
- Ability to multi-task, have strong organization skills, and proven ability to manage conflict
- Advanced knowledge of consultative approaches and experience guiding leaders to make solid business decisions
- Strong business acumen skills with the ability to plan and set clear priorities to achieve business objectives
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
- Excellent communication skills; both written and oral, as well as listening skills
- Travel is required for restaurant visitation, scheduled meetings, or company functions, otherwise work is completed in a home office setting
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift or otherwise move 25-40 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to retrieve items from high and low shelving, the fridge/freezer, and under counters.

Salary : $70,000 - $84,872
