The CAD Application Technician will create and maintain a 2d & 3d Library of PlayPower Components for support of our proprietary playground design software along with a custom CAD package, by using engineering drawings for creating and modifying parts, assemblies, and drawings, while maintaining drawing specs and installation for all components. The CAD Tech will work in a team with many talented designers, engineers and programmers to support multiple Outdoor brands including playgrounds, boat docks, and site amenities. The Technician must be well versed in industry standard 3D modeling programs and tools. A database will also be maintained in both Microsoft Access and SQL Server by the Technician for software use.

Essential Job Results:
- Create and modify 2D and 3D models of components for PlayPower library using AutoCAD, 3Ds Max, and Solidworks.
- Create top-views, footing layouts, renderings, detail drawings, and all exploded views needed for the Installation Instructions of new products, using AutoCAD, 3Ds Max, and Solidworks.
- Release AutoCAD drawings and blocks into the library as the products are released for sale.
- Create and maintain drawing templates and presentation templates.
- Assist the Proposals & Sales Support teams with design work in AutoCAD and 3Ds Max when necessary.
- Complete miscellaneous graphics work as needed.
- Must have the ability to read engineering plans and specifications provided Engineering Department.
- Maintain product library of both past and present products.
- Maintain product database for software use. Access and SQL experience needed.

Job Requirements:
- Must have an Associate Degree in Technical/Engineering Drafting and Design or related field.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in engineering, architectural or media design environment.
- Must have Expert knowledge of AutoCAD 2021 or higher.
- Must have Advanced knowledge of 3ds Max 2021 or higher.
- Must have a working knowledge of Solidworks
- Must have a working knowledge of Access and SQL Server
- Must have some Microsoft Azure knowledge
- Must be able to comprehend and analyze complex technical information and communicate results and recommendations to team members in clear, concise terms.
- Must have strong organizational and project management skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects, delivered on time and within budget in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Must take accountability and ownership and take an entrepreneurial approach in managing his/her workload.

- Working remotely from a home office is normally acceptable. When traveling to work at our office, a normal office environment is to be expected. May be exposed to noise/smells (plastics, fabrication, paint etc.) if occasionally working in the IPEMA/production areas.
