Pharmacy Technician and/or Cashier
We always accept applications in case there is a potential need for a Cashier and/or Pharmacy Technician for a part time position when one becomes available.
On the job training provided if no prior pharmacy tech experience.
Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Technician plays an important role in the operation of the pharmacy and must be able to:
- Provide positive, friendly, and helpful high quality customer service to patients in a fast paced environment
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Accurately fill and refill prescriptions under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist within the guidelines of federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Maintain and stock inventory as directed for shelf stock
- Properly check in drug orders and put merchandise in its correct location.
- Communicate with doctor’s offices and insurance companies for billing and patient needs.
- Show proficiency in typing and computer operation.
- Maintaining the pharmacy including: fill pharmacy supplies, vacuum, dust/wipe, empty trash and shred bins, clean bathroom, etc.
- Keeps product shelves and counters neat and clean
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or have the ability to be licensed by the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule.
- Normal business hours Monday - Friday 9am to 5:30pm, Saturday 9am to 12:30pm
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand conversational English to correctly communicate with customers, physicians and nurses.
Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician: experience preferred
- On the job training provided
License:
- Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred but NOT REQUIRED)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (Preferred but not required)
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
