Part-Time Summer Youth Rec Aide
Pleasant Grove Recreation is looking for a Summer Youth Rec Aide who enjoys working with children. We are looking for someone who is energetic, willing to instruct students in outlined activities for Kids Summer Camp program and Kids Cooking classes. May apply for one or both. Must be 14 or older to apply.
Hours: Morning hours Monday-Thursday 9am-3 pm
Day: Mon-Thurs Off Fri - Sunday / Except - Sat June 1- Family Day Hike- must be able to work that day
Training- Available to do some training in April & May - After school.
Salary: $8.00 per hour - Plus a Rec & Pool pass during the summer.
Job Requirements & Duties:
- Set up and clean up -Requires lifting of tables and chairs.
- Being creative.
- Required to work MON - Thurs / Mornings to late afternoons.
- Enjoys children and making activities fun.
- Very outgoing & Energetic personality.
- Able to give instructions and lead groups in activities.
- Work quickly and efficiently.
- Ok working outside as well.
- Cooking - will need a food handlers license.
- Must be 14 or older to apply.
Requirements: Hours vary depending on events and programs scheduled. 15-20 hours a week. Assist the Adult Class Instructor and aid children in Park It program and chef classes. Must Enjoy working with all ages of children. Need to be able to take charge and lead small groups in activities, like to be outdoors, and may need a food handler permit and some cooking skills if applying for cooking class.
Position is classified as a non-exempt, part time employee. Hourly requirements are part time year-round not to exceed 29 hours per week.
