We rely on a detailed financial system to advance the business at Pleasant Valley Farms. We're searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our company to help process, track, and record payments accurately, efficiently, and timely. You will be responsible for processing customer orders promptly and accurately. You will have a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Verify order accuracy and resolve any discrepancies with the sales team and customers
- Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipping is accurate.
- Enter and maintain customer and order information in company databases and systems
- Assist with invoice creation and processing
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status and shipment tracking information
- Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation before payment
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits.
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Prepare analytical analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
Requirements:
- Strong mathematical skills
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Superb time management and detail orientation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer software systems
This position will require that you learn new programs and procedures that are specific to our company.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in accounts receivable (or accounts payable)
- Experience in order processing
