Objective:
Are you ready to grow into a new role? Plant your roots with Pleasant View Gardens! We are currently seeking a new Business Development Representative to add to our Sales Department to help maintain working relations with all existing customers and help build relations with new clients. Candidates in this role will participate in the company's sales efforts by meeting or exceeding revenue targets, assist in ensuring all program & product information is provided to customers in a timely manner, fulfilling sales potential of customer accounts through solicitation of business, deliver prompt follow up on delivered orders regarding customer satisfaction and services, and analyze overall trends and competition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct Customer Relations:
- Provide plant based product & program information to customers
- Sell the company’s products at the desired pricing
- Solicit orders from customers as directed by management
- Fulfill sales potential with assigned customer accounts
- Follow up with Brokers regarding program releases, availability, quotes, special pricing and orders
- Converse with customers and/or their ship-to locations to follow up on order, product quality, shipping success, potential additional orders or product, availability notification, and the performance of the product
- Account management in conjunction with Broker representatives on liner accounts
Administrative:
- Enter all relative information into internal database including but not limited to: Customer Information, Product Orders, Order Changes, Other information as necessary to facilitate the accurate processing of Pleasant View Garden's product business
- Develop and provide sales related reports on a timely basis
Internal Customer Relations:
- Communicate with Territory Sales and Retail Account Managers
- Provide appropriate and timely data to Customer Relation Representatives for investigation and successful resolution (Claims/complaints)
- Coordinate with internal departments to insure proper order fulfillment for PVG’s product business. (i.e., all PVG Sales/C.S. personnel, I.C., Shipping, Transportation etc.)
- Attend inter-department meetings as required to facilitate proper communication
- Help keep management informed on local competition efforts and current market trends
