Job Overview
The Packaging Technician ’s primary responsibilities will be the daily packaging of liquid into bottles, cans and packages, operate packaging machinery, and the cleaning and sanitation of the packaging areas and machinery. Additionally, the Packaging Technician will be responsible for their own safety, ensuring the safety of their peers, and working closely with all production departments to ensure the highest product quality. The following list of essential job duties is not all-inclusive; the Packaging Technician is required to perform other duties as directed by management

Responsibilities

  • · Working as a team member in producing high volume quality beverages in a safe and efficient manner
  • · Learn, understand and execute packaging operations according to the process instructions and/or
  • standard operation procedures (SOP’s)
  • · Regular attendance, arriving on time, as scheduled by the manager
  • · Work in tandem with other Packaging Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and other ECP employees
  • · Help-out as needed in all other parts of the ECP production building (Team Player)
  • · Keep the packaging areas and workspaces clean and organized
  • · Maintain packaging tools, equipment, and materials by using them to their designed intent
  • · Ensure finished product is safely and neatly stored in appropriate area and logged accurately each day
  • · Count and log all consumed packaging materials, destroyed materials, and defective (failed quality)
  • goods each day
  • · Assist co-workers and cross-train employees in other departments and new hires once fully trained
  • · Communicate to the production team any inventory shortages or other potential issues that may occur
  • · Maintain a positive attitude and act in accordance to ECP company goals
  • · Make a positive contribution to the team through attitude, ideas, and work ethic
  • · Always conduct ones-self in a professional and cooperative manner
  • · Ensure that your time is being used efficiently and effectively every day
  • · Meeting or exceeding production volume goals as established by management

Experience

  • · High school diploma or equivalent
  • · Extremely high level of attention to detail
  • · Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ongoing sense of urgency
  • · Time management skills
  • · Proven ability to work well with others
  • · Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • · A flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends
  • · Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • · Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations and requirements
  • · Must be able to remain on your feet for an entire shift
