What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cannabis Packaging Technician position at Shattered Thoughts?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packager to join our Shattered Thoughts team. The packager will assist in maintaining quality control measures to ensure high quality product and carry out day-to-day tasks including weighing, sealing, packaging and labeling in accordance with standards set by Shattered Thoughts. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict adherence to compliance and safety guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of packaging processes, adherence to FDA and CRA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Package products efficiently while ensuring compliance with FDA and CRA regulations.
- Operate hand tools and machinery, including Heat Sealers, to assist in the packaging process.
- Assemble packaging materials according to specifications, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform visual quality checks to ensure products are free of defects, contaminants, and are up to company standards before packaging.
- Ensure compliance with Michigan CRA regulations, including proper handling, storage, and security of cannabis products at all times.
- Accurately weigh, package, and label cannabis products (Prerolls, edibles, concentrates, etc.) following company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Michigan CRA regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a packaging or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with CGMP guidelines and FDA regulations is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Works in a quick and efficient manner and strives to consistently increase productivity, independently as well as part of team.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and improve.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D minimum
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
