Role Overview
PDDBM is seeking passionate individuals to join its Board of Directors as volunteer Executive Board Members. This role is hybrid / remote, providing flexibility while requiring a commitment to strategic leadership and advocacy for the organization’s mission. Board members will help guide PDDBM’s vision, ensure operational excellence, and support equity-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to align with PDDBM’s mission.
- Review and approve budgets, plans, and organizational policies.
- Support fundraising efforts through outreach, donor cultivation, and contributions.
- Act as a community ambassador, advocating for PDDBM’s goals.
- Contribute insights to enhance programs in STEAM, fashion, journalism, and filmmaking.
- Participate in key events, either virtually or in person, such as the Black History Month Fashion Show and Kwanzaa Celebration.
