HVAC Tech Specialist
Reports To: HVAC Product Manager
Work Hours: Full Time
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Purpose:
Provide technical support for multi-HVAC product lines. Internal technical support for heating/cooling load calculations. Effectively handles product support, accurately builds new products and trouble shoots. Offers a high level of customer service and support.
Essential Functions:
- Technical Support for our Multi-HVAC lines including Bosch, Ruud, Century and others. Support to include hydronics including Weil McLain, Peerless, Utica, St. Roch and others.
- Requires travel for onsite support throughout our Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York locations.
- Internal technical support for heating/cooling load calculations
- Responsible for product support throughout the company both at branches and on site locations
- Keep up to date on continuous training on all current and future HVAC products
- Implement trainings to employees internally and to external contractors
- Events support such as product spotlight events, counter days at all P&H locations as well as after hour event support such as dealer meetings, trainings etc.
- May be required to attend away/overnight trainings for products during the year.
- Must have HVAC technical abilities such as wiring support, refrigeration cycle, hydronics technical support, Gas, & Oil furnace and boiler technical knowledge
- Provide hands-off technical support advising P&H contractors solutions to their technical problems in all aspects of HVAC and hydronics.
- Radiant, Snowmelt & Duct design are a plus
- Accurately build out product descriptive screens as well as keep descriptive information up to date.
- Build new products out in a consistent manner.
- Design/setup/instruct HVAC related subjects for both in-house and on-site contractor visits.
- Assist with in person trainings at branches and other training locations; some travel may be required.
- Recognizes HVAC tech issues, problems, or opportunities and determines best action needed.
- Practice teamwork in order to best service internal and external customers
- Keep up to date on HVAC product and industry knowledge
- Maintain a safe, clean and professional work environment

Qualifications
Experience, Education & Skills:
- Minimum three years HVAC experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required and HVAC/trade certification.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and a clean motor vehicle record
- Mathematical skills, accuracy in measurements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel required.
- Experience using current hardware and software peripherals.
- Ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
