PLS 3rd Learning is dedicated to the continuous improvement of K-12 education by designing, developing, and supporting innovative technology-based solutions. We focus on creating web-based systems and professional learning approaches that promote and enhance educator effectiveness and education system support.
This position is hybrid. The applicant should anticipate being on-premises in our Buffalo, NY, office at least two days a week (at least four days during the onboarding and training process). Applicants must be able to work in the Buffalo office on a regular basis as needed.
We are seeking an enthusiastic help desk specialist with exceptional communication skills who is dedicated to delivering outstanding user experience. This individual should be a strong writer and have solid project management and people skills. They should have knowledge and experience in customer support, Microsoft Office Suite, and be comfortable with a variety of technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a technology-savvy person, aspiring to work with educators or with previous classroom experience, to join our growing team of educators and technology specialists.
This role concentrates on customer service and includes daily engagement with web-based teacher tools, learning standards, and curricula. The ideal candidate will have a background or degree in education.
This position requires a 40-hour a week commitment, with some variation in the hours to be determined by the needs of the clients. This position is a hybrid work model that allows employees to work both remotely and on-premises in our Buffalo, NY office.
The following duties are associated with this position:
- Provide phone and email support to users of web-based education-related applications
- Provide Quality Assurance testing of our web-based systems as needed
- Coordinate and maintain the documentation of help desk materials and procedures
- Provide general administrative assistance when needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent technology and troubleshooting skills
- Polished and professional phone and email etiquette
- Great communication skills
- Patience while working with valued clients and customers
- Positive and engaging personality
Education & Experience:
- Experience with customer support preferred
- Associate’s degree or several years of directly-related professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in education preferred
