Residential Audio Video Tech

Job Summary:

A residential audio video tech assists with the installation and maintenance of low voltage wiring systems in both new construction and remodeling projects as well as trim- finish installations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Install low voltage systems, such as security systems, audio-visual equipment, and network cabling, in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.

• Implement structured cabling for audio-visual setups, including routing, termination, and labeling.

• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on installed systems to ensure optimal performance as necessary.

• Efficiently diagnose and repair issues related to low voltage systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with AV equipment.

• Install cameras, displays, and audio equipment, ensuring proper mounting.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to communicate effectively with team leaders.
• Have and Maintain Safety Working practices.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Education and Experience

· Power tools

· At least 2 years of experience on construction sites related to low voltage installations.

· Valid Driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.

· Crawling in crawl spaces and attics when required.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

· Must be able to work at great heights.

Safety Requirements:

· Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always worn when visiting any work site.

· Adhere to proper ladder safety protocols.

· Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and rules while working at any location.

· Wear appropriate work boots both while on site and off site.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud when installation is in process. Employees will be subject to weather conditions, not limited to rain, wind and heat and cold. Employees are required to wear protective equipment (PPE) as assigned by their designated work area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
