- Analyze project specifications and drawings to develop detailed cost estimates for materials.
- Prepare and submit competitive quotations and comprehensive bid proposals for commercial plumbing and HVAC projects, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
- Identify potential risks in the project and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that bids are both competitive and profitable.
- Engage with clients to clarify project requirements, address any questions or concerns, and cultivate strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Foster trust and credibility with project managers, engineers, and other team members through effective collaboration and communication.
- Educate customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products to improve product-related sales.
- Negotiate and close agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Utilize estimation software and tools to prepare and manage bid proposals efficiently.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product developments, consumer preferences, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to ensure competitive and compelling bids.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understanding of Plumbing, Piping, and/or HVAC systems
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under strict timelines and schedules
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to negotiate contract terms and pricing
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
