Job Description :
As a Dispatch Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our team of technicians, ensuring efficient scheduling and routing of calls, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with technicians, customers, and other team members to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
Overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient scheduling and routing of calls.
Ensure all technicians are running efficiently and routes are optimized each day.
Handle inbound and outbound calls, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Communicate with technicians to ensure timely arrival at job sites and provide necessary information from calls.
Pull permits for installation jobs and coordinate inspections with various counties.
Maintain accurate records of permits and inspections.
Source and order customer-specific materials / parts based on job requirements, ensuring accuracy, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers, verify availability, and track shipments to keep projects on schedule.
Manage and maintain inventory in the warehouse and technicians' vans to ensure the availability of essential parts and materials.
Conduct regular stock checks, track usage, restock as needed, and implement inventory control measures to minimize shortages and excess.
Coordinate and schedule rental equipment (e.g., excavators, trenchers) as needed for jobs, ensuring availability, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Communicate with rental vendors, track rental periods, and oversee proper equipment return to avoid delays and extra costs.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Plumbing industry preferred
Experience with ServiceTitan software preferred
Proven experience in dispatch management, customer service, or a related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using spreadsheets and other relevant software.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Flexibility and reliability in handling various tasks and responsibilities.
