Job Title: MuleSoft Developer

Location: Ankeny, Iowa 50021 (REMOTE)

Employment Type: 3-6 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $50/hr - $55/hr

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled MuleSoft Developer to design, develop, and implement integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API development, middleware solutions, and system integration to enhance business processes and ensure seamless data flow between applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy MuleSoft APIs and integrations to connect enterprise applications and systems.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to gather and understand integration requirements.
• Implement API-led connectivity strategies to enable reusable and scalable integration solutions.
• Develop data transformation and mapping processes using DataWeave and MuleSoft connectors.
• Ensure best practices in MuleSoft development, including security, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and operational disruptions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft applications.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, including API specifications, design documents, and test cases.
• Stay updated with MuleSoft’s latest features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance integration capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in MuleSoft development, including API and integration design.
• Strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange.
• Proficiency in DataWeave, RAML, and RESTful/SOAP API design principles.
• Experience with cloud-based integrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft connectors, including Salesforce, SAP, databases, and third-party APIs.
• Knowledge of authentication and security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and SAML.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) certification.
• Experience with ETL tools, database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), and message queuing systems.
• Understanding of business processes in the food delivery or healthcare industry.
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
