Seeking a Water/Wastewater Pump Station Technical Leader
Location: All Offices (TX, CO, FL, OK)
Plummer is currently searching for a Water/Wastewater Pump Station Technical Leader to focus on technical and client leadership and to serve as a company-wide mentor/advisor on pump station design and construction.
Typical Responsibilities Include
Planning, directing, and monitoring technical aspects of pump station design projects which contain a high degree of technical complexity. The Technical Leader will also be involved with developing client relationships with a specific focus on showcasing Plummer’s experience and expertise. The Technical Leader will be involved in business development, scope development, schedule and fee review, participate in design and production meetings, and perform schematic/conceptual design reviews to provide adequate technical support to the project teams.

- Be a leader that can help grow Plummer’s market capture and strive to find new ways to add value to our clients.
- Develop long-term strategic plan for technical excellence within the firm.
- Support project delivery by overseeing QA/QC staff on key projects to ensure engagement and successful project delivery. Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and for training of personnel.
- Working in partnership with Conveyance Practice Leader, Water and Wastewater Treatment Practice Leaders, Area Leaders, and Team Leaders to develop and deliver winning strategies to meet client needs.
- Serve as an active liaison between Plummer’s various geographic tams to assist as needed in strategic pursuits, and to recruit, attract, develop, and retain the best and technical brightest talent.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering required. Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of design experience working on large, conveyance water, wastewater and stormwater pumping stations.
- Maintain professional or engineering registration and related technical experience in development and management of diverse teams.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee culture.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering staff in varied specialties in water and wastewater conveyance and treatment.
- Professional engineer (PE) license in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, or Florida (or the ability to obtain the various state licensure(s)).
- Hydraulic Institute Pump System Assessment Professional (PSAP) certified.
- Professional Organization participation is preferred.
- Engaged in professional and industry associations such as Hydraulic Institute, AWWA, WEF, ASCE, ASME, etc. to enhance technical expertise and brand.
