The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Growth Marketing to lead all aspects of
growth marketing at Plunge. This role will be responsible for full-funnel marketing—from brand
awareness and positioning to differentiation, full-funnel conversion, and retention marketing.
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll craft and execute a world-class growth strategy that hits and
exceeds revenue targets while maximizing efficiency. We need a leader with deep expertise in
social ads (campaign structure, performance, creative production—both in-house and UGC) and
extensive experience in landing page optimization, website conversion, and website analysis to
drive higher conversion rates. You’ll connect specific ads to tailored landing pages and track that
journey end-to-end.
The ideal candidate is a growth-minded leader with direct experience with high-AOV long
consideration cycle products. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with cold plunge and sauna,
you’ve likely bought these products yourself, you understand the psychology and lifestyle of our
customer, and are excited to help grow Plunge profitably while expanding our impact in the
wellness space.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Growth Strategy: Build and lead a holistic growth plan to skyrocket customer acquisition and revenue, aligned with Plunge’s mission.
- Drive Contribution Margin: Own the primary KPI of contribution margin, balancing aggressive revenue growth with operational efficiency across all channels and initiatives.
- Master Social Ads: Own end-to-end social ad strategy (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), including campaign structure, performance analysis, and optimization for maximum ROI and low CAC.
- Creative Leadership: Oversee creative analysis and production—spanning in-house video, statics, and UGC—to craft thumb-stopping ads that convert. Partner with creators and internal teams to fuel a high-velocity content engine.
- Own Retention (Email & SMS): Design and optimize impactful email and SMS campaigns and flows to maximize customer retention, engagement, and lifetime value.
- Optimize Landing Pages & Conversion: Design, analyze, and optimize high-converting landing pages and websites, using extensive website analysis to increase conversion rates. Connect specific ad campaigns to tailored landing pages and track the full customer journey to ensure seamless attribution and performance.
- Scale Performance Marketing: Manage paid acquisition beyond social (e.g., Google Ads, affiliates), ensuring efficient spend and measurable results.
- Boost Organic Growth: Collaborate with SEO, content, and PR teams to amplify brand reach and community engagement.
- Own Offers & Deal Calendar: Develop and manage compelling offers, including our deal calendar, to drive sales and customer excitement while aligning with profitability goals.
- Test & Iterate: Champion rapid experimentation across campaigns, creative, pricing, offers, and landing page UX, using data to double down on winners while keeping costs lean.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or Looker to track KPIs, analyze website and ad performance, and refine strategies for profitability and conversion.
- Lead Cross-Functionally: Align Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to integrate growth efforts with product innovation and customer experience.
- Build a Team: Hire and mentor a top-tier growth crew, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and efficiency.
