IT Help Desk Tech

Plus Credit Union is looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual ready to take the credit union to the next level while learning on the job!

This entry-level position is ideal for someone with some foundational IT experience—whether through internships, coursework, or hands-on troubleshooting—who is eager to learn and grow in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

As an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance to various credit union departments, troubleshoot system issues, and help maintain IT operations. This role offers hands-on training, exposure to various technologies, and professional development opportunities. Their duties may include:

• Member Service
• Represents the credit union to members, both internal and external, in a courteous and professional manner. Adheres to concepts and expectations as outlined in the SERVICE philosophy. Maintains members service as a primary focus.Manage applications for specified client departments
• Act as primary contact for application systems problem resolution. Responsible for implementation and installation of hardware and software to user specification. Analyze and document problems, recommend solutions and initiate corrective action as directed by management. Follow up on problem resolution and inform management of status.
• Ensure that users are kept informed of all system updates, which are fully tested before moving to the live directory. Update procedures to reflect any resulting changes in systems, regulatory procedures, or policies.
• Serve as information resource for employee users, including determination of most appropriate data sources, providing or arranging application-based report writing, or educating users to retrieve the information themselves.
• May serve as a trainer for in-house development or implementation of vendor-based automated systems.
• Responsible for assigned technical aspects of conversions, file expansions, and interfaces.
• Remain knowledgeable of operations and the computer system within credit union departments to provide comprehensive support.
• Responsible for after-hour daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual back-up and report processing.
• Assistance with internal Web Design and HTML projects.
• Responsible for completing Currency Transaction Reports, monitoring for and reporting suspicious activity, and completing annual training related to the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Other duties may be assigned.
