Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and caring individual to join the Plymouth Church School community as an essential member of a four-person administrative team. The Associate Director of Admissions, Family Engagement and First Programs manages the entire admissions process, oversees parent engagement, supports the faculty that teach our youngest children, and assists the Director and the administrative team to ensure the smooth operation of the school.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000

The Associate Director of Admissions, Family Engagement and First Programs is an exempt 12-month full-time position with additional evening and weekend hours for school events as needed. Leave with pay for illness and emergencies shall be allowed for but not to exceed ten days per year. Vacation time follows the academic calendar.

Primary Responsibilities
Admissions
- Oversee the whole admissions cycle from inquiry through enrollment to ensure a seamless and positive experience for families.
- Responsible for recruiting, selecting and enrolling a balanced and diverse group of children and families each year that are a good fit for our community.
- Look at decisions through a lens of equity and inclusion throughout the admissions process.
- Build and maintain warm and positive relationships with new families.
- Warmly serve as the point of contact for all enrollment questions throughout the year. Ensure that all calls and emails are responded to in a timely manner.
- Represent Plymouth at school fairs, both virtual and in person.
- Create and update admissions materials.
- Oversee TADS, our admissions, enrollment, and financial aid platform.
- Schedule and lead prospective parent tours throughout the admissions season, and as needed to ensure full enrollment.
- Schedule and lead playgroup interviews for all families who have applied.
- Create potential classes based on the data from playgroups and parent interviews to ensure the best balance of children for each grouping.
- Communicate admissions decisions to families.
- Work closely with the Director to oversee the Financial Aid Program.
- Oversee re-enrollment and the issuance of admissions contracts for new families.
- Maintain an active waitlist to ensure full enrollment.
- Create, maintain and present statistics on admissions to the Director and the School Committee.
- Orient and support all families as they enter the new school year.
- Act as the bridge between home and school for parents as they first enter the school community.
- Provide multiple opportunities for families to engage with the school community throughout the year through family events and ongoing parent education talks.
- Serve as the liaison between the school, the Parent Association and parent volunteers.
- Collaborate on communications that go out to the community.
- Responsible for the day to day operations of the First Programs, the classes for the youngest (15 months- 3 years old) children at Plymouth.
- Supervise First Programs teachers using weekly classroom observations and meetings to optimize the development of teaching skills and model best practices. Conduct yearly review.
- Review and help supervise the creation and implementation of curriculum and project based learning for First Programs.
- Assist Director in setting developmental expectations and developing assessment tools and strategies for First Programs teachers.
- Help plan, schedule and prepare for staff meetings.
- Remain current on issues and trends in early childhood education and bring new ideas to the community. Research in order to ensure we make the best choices for the school as we develop new programs and plan for the future.
- Assist with recruiting and hiring new faculty members in First Programs classrooms and assist in new teacher orientation.

- Master’s degree in a relevant field. (Early Childhood Education/ Child Development)
- Certification in Early Childhood Education.
- 3 years of relevant work experience with two and three-year old children.
- Demonstrated success working with families.
