Plymouth Poultry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented A/R & A/P Specialist to join our finance team. Key Objectives
- Support the company in optimizing its financial systems and processes
- Ensure timely and accurate payments and collections to maintain strong vendor and customer relationships
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounts receivable and payable functions
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality in financial transactions
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage collections for past-due balances while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Reconcile discrepancies in customer payments and resolve billing issues
- Assist with customer returns, pricing updates, and general account research
- Review, verify, and process invoices for proper documentation and approval
- Perform accurate data entry for invoices and general ledger accounts
- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions on a regular basis
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders and receiving records
- Process daily ACH payments and obtain check signatures as needed
- Provide backup support to other administrative team members
- Assist with special financial projects and reports as assigned
- Support senior financial officers with various accounting tasks

- Associate degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience

- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus, but not required
Education and Experience
- College degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounts payable and/or receivable
