Assist in the overall administration of Human Resources at Plymouth State University. Acts as front-line HR support and initial point-of-contact, handling general inquiries via phone, email, or walk-in, deferring to HR resources when appropriate. Responsible for office management including student worker supervision and recordkeeping.
HR Shared Services Support Partners with Recruiting & Onboarding, HR Operations, the Time and Leave Team, HR Compensation, and HRIS to support the needs of the campus. Handles basic inquiries via phone, email, or walk-ins, educating the campus community on HR processes, and deferring to the respective Shared Services staff when appropriate. Works collaboratively with USNH Shared Services to provide insight on PSU’s needs as it pertains to various processes, policies, and related project.

General HR Support Provides Campus-specific HR Support And Project Support For The HR Director As Needed, Including But Not Limited To
- Tracking of performance evaluations and required trainings.
- Maintaining up-to-date campus documentation.
- Imaging documents and pulling personnel files.
- Supporting PSU-specific HR events and programs, such as recognition awards.
- Completing new hire Form I-9 employment authorization and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collecting and distributing campus and USPS mail.
- Contribute to communications and correspondence for a variety of campus announcements.
- Submit purchase requests, facilities work orders, and reimbursement requests as needed for the office.
- Maintain and update all HR website content, including forms, contact information, etc.
- Provide financial/budget support to the HR Director as assigned.
- Hire, train, mentor, and direct the work of student employees.
- High school graduation and three years of related experience involving progressive responsible duties requiring discretion and independent judgment or a combination of higher education and related experience equal to three years.
- Ability to deal effectively with students, staff members, and faculty.
- Computer skills as required by department including but not limited to MS Office, automated financial systems, online recruitment software and website maintenance.
- Knowledge of human resources procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Human resources experience in a college or university.
- Experience with computerized human resource information system.
- Office management experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize needs
