About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at Plymouth Tube Company. This position requires strong knowledge of control system theory, industrial automation, and instrumentation.
The ideal candidate will have experience with HMI and SCADA software, as well as control system hardware, including PLCs, DCS, HMIs, and industrial networking technologies. Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text is also essential.
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems to ensure efficient and safe operation of machinery, equipment, and processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize control systems and improve operational performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and designing control systems for industrial processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to control and monitor industrial processes.
- Designing and developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for real-time monitoring, control, and visualization of industrial processes.
- Identifying and resolving issues related to control systems, including hardware failures, software bugs, and communication problems.
