Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Office Manager to oversee daily operations for our growing healthcare practice in Hollywood, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing office operations, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining a positive, productive environment for both staff and patients. The Office Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our practice complies with healthcare regulations and delivers exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient functioning of the practice.
- Manage and schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards across all aspects of the practice.
- Supervise and support the billing department, ensuring timely submission of claims, accurate payment posting, and resolution of any billing issues.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and external partners to maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Assist in staff training and development, fostering a positive work environment and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Experience in managing staff, schedules, and workflow.
- Proficiency in office management software and medical billing systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Prior experience managing a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing practices and insurance verification.
