Description
As a Construction Project Manager at PM2, you will lead construction projects for luxury and bespoke commercial clients, overseeing all phases from planning to completion. You will direct project teams, including PM2 Assistant Project Managers, to collaborate with project stakeholders ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and executed flawlessly to meet our high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between PM2 and clients. You will lead all client interactions, ensuring clear communication and fostering strong relationships to maintain high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction. Manage expectations and provide consistent updates to keep all parties informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle and assuring project scope alignment.
- Lead and manage 2-3 hospitality construction projects simultaneously from inception to completion
- Execute new restaurant opening construction projects
- Lead with the project team to create, update, and oversee project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Prepare and present project reports, including weekly progress, financial status, and risk assessments.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and accurate tracking of all project management activities, including operational details, scheduling, and financial expenditures.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Assist in coordinating and managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues. Make independent decisions to resolve project challenges and ensure smooth progress.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance, and ensure documentation is updated.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment among project teams.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in construction project management, demonstrating a track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction and architectural principles, practices, and techniques, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with significant work experience in these fields are encouraged to apply, as hands-on experience may serve as a substitute for formal education.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in fast-paced, high-stress situations while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong mentoring and coaching skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex project challenges and make decisions under pressure.
- A history of strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong client relationships and managing diverse teams.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project, is highly valued. Additionally, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred, as these skills are essential for effective project management and documentation.
