PMB Services, Inc. is looking for a full-time Customer Service and Collections Specialist who is passionate about helping others and providing superior customer service with effective communication and listening skills. PMB is a locally owned and operated family business established in 1984.   • Paid Vacation of one week (5 days) after 90 days, two weeks (10 days) after one year, and 3 weeks (15 days) after five years of service.

  • Background check will be conducted, and drug test required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Display a cheerful, upbeat, energetic, and positive attitude.
  • Willing and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Front-line communication with all customers.
  • Achieve applicable goals and benchmarks.
  • Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments.
  • Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer. Document conversations clearly and concisely.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
  •  Work closely with other departments to resolve customer issues.
  • Transfer phone calls to other departments as needed.
  • Utilize customer relationship management software to facilitate the process of responding to customer calls and addressing customer concerns.
  • Troubleshoot with customers to resolve Mobile App and Website issues.
  • De-escalate customer situations and solve problems as needed.
  • Resolve customer inquiries with limited escalation to team leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary: From $16.50 per hour, plus monthly bonus potential

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Must be dependable and consistently punctual for all scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Strong relationship-building and listening skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with others to meet team goals.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF is a plus.
  • Ability to type 25 wpm preferred.

Shift:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • No nights
  • Some Over-time required

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week
