Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining heavy industrial equipment at our facility. This role requires strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as proven leadership in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing people, projects, and maintenance operations while driving safety, performance, and equipment reliability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 8 direct maintenance technicians
- Serve as the go-to expert on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and high-voltage electrical systems
- Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and team development for the maintenance department
- Collaborate with plant leadership on planning and execution of quarterly capital improvement (CAPEX) programs
- Use the company’s CMMS system to manage, assign, and track maintenance work orders and project timelines
- Keep detailed logs and documentation to support technical issues and maintenance requests
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture throughout the facility
- Lead equipment installation and upgrade projects related to capital initiatives
- Work closely with HR and Finance departments to support hiring, training, and employee development strategies
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (preferably in heavy equipment environments)
- At least 3 years of proven leadership experience within a manufacturing setting
- Associate degree in a technical or trade-related field is strongly preferred
- Strong background in troubleshooting and maintaining large-scale equipment
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance scheduling tools
- Effective communication skills with both technical teams and senior leadership
- Commitment to continuous improvement and plant safety standards
