Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our multi-health and transportation company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate financial records across the company’s diverse healthcare and transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for healthcare, transportation, emergency medical services, and management support services operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures.
Payroll and Tax Compliance:
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate taxes.
Auditing and Compliance:
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Cost Control and Analysis:
- Track and manage costs specific to healthcare services, transportation logistics, emergency medical services, and management support services.
- Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
System and Software Management:
- Utilize accounting software (SAGE) for financial transactions and reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy across integrated systems for healthcare billing, transportation and emergency medical services tracking.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with Operation directors to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Prepare financial reports for senior management to guide strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare and/or transportation industries and/or emergency.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and/or transportation logistics and/or emergency medical services is a plus.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
