Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Earthwork Superintendent to lead our construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on construction management, quality control, and safety.

Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination: developing and implementing work schedules, resource allocation plans, and strategies to meet project deadlines and specifications, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure a smooth workflow.
2. Site Supervision: Overseeing day-to-day earthwork operations, including excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling. Ensuring all work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
3. Safety Management: Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring all personnel comply with safety regulations. Conducting regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
4. Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of earthwork operations to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Conducting inspections and tests to verify that the work meets the required quality.
5. Equipment Management: Coordinating the use and maintenance of heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders. Ensuring equipment is in good working condition and arranging for repairs or replacements as needed.
6. Cost Management: Monitoring project costs and managing budgets to ensure earthwork operations are completed within budget constraints. Identifying and addressing potential cost overruns or inefficiencies.
7. Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of daily operations, including work progress, resource usage, and any issues or delays. Preparing reports for project managers and stakeholders on the status of earthwork activities.
8. Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during earthwork operations, such as equipment breakdowns, weather delays, or site condition changes.
9. Team Leadership and Management: Supervising and directing the work of earthwork crews, providing guidance and support, and fostering a productive and positive work environment.
10. Stakeholder Communication: Liaising with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates on earthwork progress and address any concerns or requests.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent specializing in earthwork.
3. A strong focus on safety and quality control.
4. Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
5. Experience with construction estimating and bid analysis.
6. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
9. Experience with pipeline construction or similar heavy civil projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
