Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit health care education institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and / or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities add another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five-state region.

General Summary :
The Family Medicine Department is searching for passionate D.O. and M.D. physicians to assist with hands-on clinical training for first-and second-year students.
Essential Job Functions :
- Teach the assigned courses and any others as assigned.
- Meet all classes as scheduled.
- Assist in the recruitment and registration of students.
- Report final grades at the designated time.
- Advise students.
- Attend student orientation and commencement exercises.
- Maintain an appropriate number of office hours.
- Write course syllabi.
- Develop course materials.
- Administer exams.
- Perform committee assignments.
- Engage in scholarly activity.
- Maintain professional development.
- Perform community service.
- Maintain licensure and certification as appropriate.
- May be required to maintain clinical practice as appropriate.
- Understand accreditation standards and expectations specific to the department and adhere to policies and procedures to meet or exceed such standards.
- Conduct self appropriately and consistently in accordance with the philosophy and mission of PNWU.
- Other duties as assigned.
