Job Description:

The Hardware Procurement and Configuration Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement and assisting with the configuration of IT hardware for our customers. This role combines technical expertise with inventory management to ensure that all equipment is properly configured and readily available for installation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position will report to the Head of Operations and IT and work closely with the IT Manager and Installation Project Manager to ensure smooth coordination of hardware configuration, availability, and delivery for customer installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the IT manager in configuring IT hardware for customers, ensuring all specifications are met and functionality is tested.
• Manage the hardware inventory, including forecasting equipment needs based on upcoming projects and customer orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and organize stock for efficient retrieval and usage.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing and ensuring timely procurement of equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders as needed to prevent shortages.
• Document configuration processes and maintain detailed records of equipment setups and changes.



Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with IT hardware is preferred.
• Strong technical skills and familiarity with hardware components and systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team collaboration.
