Salary: $52,000-$56,160

Job Summary
The Young Parent Program Coordinator supports and empowers young parents (ages 14-25) by providing culturally specific education, resources, and guidance to promote positive parenting practices, child development, and family well-being. This role involves delivering school-based services, conducting home visits, family activities and facilitating community parenting classes to equip young parents with the knowledge and skills needed for successful parenting while balancing education and personal growth.
Job Duties
Provides individual and group-based parenting education in schools, community settings, and homes.
Conducts home visits to assess needs, offer guidance, and connect young parents to community resources.
Supports young parents in completing their education, accessing childcare, and securing stable resources.
Facilitates parenting classes focused on child development, health, nutrition, and life skills
Collaborates with schools, social services, and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic support system.
Advocates for young parents by connecting them to social determinants of health resources including transportation, food, housing, employment, and mental and physical health resources.
Maintains accurate records and reports on program participation and outcomes.
Maintains a drop-in resource center for young parents and their families.
Maintains participant logs in designated databases, confidential files, and case notes.
Performs other data entry/record-keeping functions as directed.
Ensures objectives and deliverables are met according to contract and grant agreements.
Develops and sustains innovative, trauma-informed youth and family-centered programming at POIC RA Prep.

Experience/Education
A bachelor’s degree in education, social work, child development, or similar subject is required this role. In addition to the education requirement, this position requires three years related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be used to satisfy these requirements.
