Summary: Responsible for supporting the efficient management of inventory flow within the organization. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of inventory records through daily cycle counts, assisting in inventory transactions, and maintaining optimal stock levels. By following established processes and procedures, the Operations Analyst Level II will contribute to the timely resolution of inventory discrepancies, improve tracking mechanisms, and ensure accurate and real-time data entries. They will assist in demand planning, manage basic inventory control tasks, and provide support for generating periodic reports and analytics.
Essential Functions:
· Cycle Counting & Accuracy: Perform daily ABC cycle counts to ensure inventory records reflect actual stock levels. Ensure compliance with cycle count and inventory control procedures in daily activities.
· Inventory Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve discrepancies found during cycle counts, focusing on A-items with high value or usage. Find root causes and make the necessary adjustments to guarantee accurate inventory levels.
· Registry System Management: Effectively manage and oversee the registry tool to ensure accurate daily counts by business unit. Continuously monitor the status of items (pending, counted, accurate, tolerance, acceptable, unacceptable) and utilize this data to generate and provide periodic performance KPIs.
· Manage Inventory Levels: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet business needs while minimizing excess stock.
· Transaction Process Oversight: Work and assist with inventory transaction processes, ensuring that cross-departmental systems work together to maintain accurate records. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate inventory replenishment.
· Analyze Inventory Data: Evaluate inventory statistics to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
· Stock Levels: Generate and manage raw material and finished goods replenishment to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Inventory Planning Support: Assist in planning inventory levels based on historical data and demand forecasts.
- Report Findings: Prepare and present inventory reports to management, providing insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
- Improve Inventory Systems: Help develop and implement inventory control protocols to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, such as warehouse, operations, purchasing, to ensure inventory-related tasks are completed effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Data Analysis related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
