The Operations Analyst Level III will support management in inventory transactions, resolve complex discrepancies, and collaborate across departments to address supply challenges. Additionally, the role involves utilizing forecasting tools and techniques to maintain balance between demand and stock levels, helping prevent both overstocking and stockouts. The position requires expertise in inventory systems, process improvement, and a proactive approach to achieving inventory optimization.
Essential Functions:
- Cycle Counting & Accuracy: Oversee and ensure the accurate execution of ABC cycle counting, with a focus on high-value items and complex discrepancies.
- Inventory Analytics & Reporting: Analyze inventory data to provide actionable insights, develop KPIs, and suggest improvements to inventory management.
- Transaction Process Oversight: Manage inventory transaction processes, ensuring that cross-departmental systems work together to maintain accurate records.
- Inventory Demand Planning: Develop and implement inventory forecast techniques based on historical data, demand and sales trends.
- Inventory Control Strategy: Create and adjust strategies for maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing safety stock, and setting reorder points.
- Issue Resolution: Lead resolution efforts for significant inventory discrepancies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find long-term solutions.
- System Optimization: Suggest improvements to inventory control systems and processes and assist with system updates and configuration.
- Inventory Plan Design: Create and implement inventory plans to meet both short-term and long-term business goals.
- Supply Coordination: Ensure alignment between supply, planning, and inventory management to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Process Leadership & Mentorship: Train and guide junior analysts on inventory management best practices and cycle count procedures.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Data Analysis related field.
· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain operations.
· Advanced Software Proficiency: Expertise in inventory management systems (Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for analytics, MS Word. Power BI experience preferred.
· Adaptability: Willingness to learn new processes and software.
