The Business Development Coordinator will:

Be responsible for the strategic direction, maintenance, support, and nurturing of new and existing memberships obtained through area businesses and Select Employee Groups (SEGs) in the portfolio. Establish a plan to identify potential new SEGs and build a pipeline within assigned geographic territory and target market. Contact businesses and SEGs through mailings, phone calls and/or personal visits to recruit companies and employees for membership.

Recognize and solicit business development opportunities for credit union involvement and/or sponsorship to increase brand recognition and awareness in the local community. Participate actively in community organizations which provide networking opportunities for achieving profitable business relationships including, but not limited to community & public relations events, chamber of commerce functions, business trade associations and area networking events.

Oversee, identify, and support member growth, drive member acquisition, retention and cross-sell/upsell opportunities within the credit unions existing SEG relationships.

Proficient knowledge of credit union products and services to support membership growth by discussing the features and benefits and driving member acquisitions, activation, and retention. Use professional consultative selling skills to effectively cross-sell credit union products and services.

Present credit union information in one-on-one, small and large group settings. Develop and deliver professional presentation promoting the benefits of credit union membership for designated SEGs by providing value and education to employees, to drive new member acquisition and product penetration opportunities for Point Breeze. This includes attending SEG staff meetings, new employee orientations, open enrollment meetings, health fairs and other special events. Build and maintain strong rapport with SEG representatives through consistent contact including phone, email and personal visits.

Identify, create, and establish calling programs, marketing enrollments, business visits, educational opportunities, community activities, mail campaigns, and outbound calling.

Identify, develop, and establish referral opportunities within SEG groups to prompt existing members to continually recommend new members and add services.

Manage SEG relationships to ensure members are completely satisfied with the services they receive. Actively promote the entire product line to each SEG group.

Accurately maintain the database of current and prospective partnerships as well as, monthly business development activities. Prepare monthly Business Development summary assessments and status reports of current SEG, organizations, prospects, and activities.

Meet established sales goals of new SEGs and memberships in the Primary Service Areas (PSA), and other goals as assigned.

Process all new membership/share applications for retail accounts which includes collecting all required documentation and maintenance of new accounts arising from business development activities. Provide ongoing member relationship management and servicing as needed.

Support Member Services and Business Banking to generate new business relationships within the credit unions field of membership.

Support each branch office with their business development plan. The plan will help identify current and potential new SEGs and build a pipeline within the office's geographic territory by contacting businesses through personal visits and/or phone calls.

Provide feedback on sponsor group and member concerns, quality issues and product acceptance. Recommend solutions to problems, product enhancements and operational changes when applicable.

Assist in maintaining the brand of Point Breeze Credit Union and ensures compliance with all current State and Federal regulations.

Adhere to all credit union compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) guidelines and regulations as explained and as appropriate for the position.

Follows established policies and procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Chief Member Relationship Officer.
This position requires local travel and weekend/evening hours as necessary to participate in various networking/community events.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, candidates will have:
- Associates Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Equivalent professional experience may be considered).
- Knowledge of strategic communications and marketing concepts, principles, methodology and techniques.
- Knowledge of basic sales and presentation skills.
- PC proficient.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (preferred knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel).
- 2-3 Years of sales and / or business development experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Must have strong service orientation skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
Salary : $64,663 - $96,934
