Summary:

Responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Manages the corporate purchasing team, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and ensuring adherence to company policies and budgetary guidelines. Works closely with internal departments, vendors, and suppliers to optimize purchasing processes, maintain accurate inventory levels, and resolve any issues related to procurement or supply chain operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the purchasing department, ensuring smooth and efficient procurement processes.
• Manage the Purchasing Coordinator, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
• Manage and optimize the inventory item list, ensuring accuracy and standardization of item descriptions and categorization.
• Lead the integration of purchasing functions for newly acquired businesses in collaboration with other team members and departments.
• Maintain user profiles and access permissions for the inventory web store, ensuring proper functionality and security.
• Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring alignment with budget and procurement policies.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure the best possible pricing and terms for goods and services.
• Investigate and resolve accounts payable issues, collaborating with the accounting department as needed.
• Provide training and support to team members on purchasing processes and systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee the resolution of any procurement-related issues, including supply chain disruptions, delivery delays, or quality concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior purchasing experience, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• Three to five years of experience in purchasing and inventory control, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proven experience in a team environment.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; high school diploma or its equivalent required.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in standard office filing systems, office equipment, personal computers (PC), Microsoft Office Suite, and email software. Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems is a plus.
