Summary: The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while driving continuous improvement. This role requires strategic leadership to optimize production, supply chain, and operational performance, aligning with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including safety, quality and production management.
- Develop and implement plans to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and customer demands.
- Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives.
- Manage budgets, operational costs, and capital expenditures.
- Develop and mentor Production Managers and operational staff to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Analyze production metrics and implement root cause corrective actions as needed.
- Partner with HR to ensure workforce planning, training, and compliance with labor laws.
- As part of MCG Strategy Deployment process, participate on annual planning sessions to define Projects, Scorecard (KPIs) and Action Plans to execute at the Operations level that are directly connected with PEP strategy.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge/Experience:
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
- Experience managing large-scale production, supply chain, and logistics.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (OSHA, ISO, FDA, etc.).
- Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, cost control, and financial planning.
- Experience with ERP systems and operational analytics.
- Understanding of workforce planning, labor laws, and HR collaboration.

- Collaborate with HR on workforce planning, hiring, and employee relations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Primarily in a manufacturing facility, with time split between the production floor and office.- Exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Regular interaction with production teams, senior management, and external vendors.
- May require occasional travel to other facilities, suppliers, or corporate offices.
- Frequent walking and standing on the production floor.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25-50 lbs.) for inspections or hands-on troubleshooting.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required (e.g., safety glasses, steel-toe boots).
- Extended screen time when working in an office setting on reports and planning.
- Flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, based on production needs.
