Position Summary
Deliver best in class thinking and service to the oil and gas, marine, and energy markets through listening, applying intelligence and responding, every time. The Building Division is responsible for creating high quality manufactured materials to client specifications for all Point Eight Power Building projects, primarily using sheet metal. The overall objective of this position is to prepare building components by blasting & painting to stage in order to finish the product, and meet defined production standards, schedules and quality requirements. Consistent and accurate modeling and representing of the Point Eight Power brand, mission, vision, values and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.
Essential Accountabilities
- Support the effort of being a best-in-class manufacturer through the fabrication of high-quality products that exceed our clients’ expectations by:
- Preparing building assemblies for blasting, painting and assembly processes.
- Operating equipment that directs a flow of abrasive-laden compressed air over the surface of sheet metal to remove scale, grease, rust, dirt, and other debris.
- Expertly mixing primers and paints and spraying prepared surfaces as per drawing specifications.
- Examining finished products to ensure conformance to specifications and documents for quality control.
- Maintaining a safe, clean organized work area.
- Ensuring quality and efficiency by completing the job task faster than estimated hours.

Qualifications
Education/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED, Required
Experience
- 3 years of experience in blasting and painting in a commercial or industrial industry, Required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Intrapersonal Skills: Self-motivated and able to identify, examine, and resolve issues independently from others. Hold a strong regard for guidelines, procedures and integrity.
- Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Design: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Tools include: blast pot, paint pot, dust collector, recovery unit and wrenches.
- Computers and Electronics: Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Microsoft Office Business Suite.
- Verbal & Written Communication Skills: This position requires basic skills (Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.)
- Math Skills: This position requires minimal skills (add, subtract, etc.)
- Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Visualization: The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Physical Requirement: Must have ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Employee must be at to sit, climb or balance, hear, use hands, taste/smell, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms.
Working Conditions: Conditions in manufacturing worksite: can be high heat, high humidity, exposure to electrical shock and mechanical parts, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals with fumes and/or airborne particles.
Overtime: As required
Hours: Monday to Friday 3PM to 12AM, Must be open to some weekends
