Job Overview:
Immediate opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician for two timeshare condominium properties at Wapato Point in Manson, WA. You will be joining an established team to take care of both properties.
The Maintenance Technician is a crucial member of our team and is relied upon to ensure that all exteriors of the property’s grounds are well manicured and that all equipment and amenities are in good working order and condition. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for maintaining and improving the interior and exterior condition of all condominiums.
The property also consists of exterior swimming pools, recreational areas and extensive landscaping. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall condition of all aspects of the property, and engages in daily maintenance, cleaning, and scheduled preventative maintenance work together with the property team.
We appreciate experience, but also encourage candidates with minimal experience who take direction well to apply. Our experienced technicians will be available to train as necessary.
Skills at this job include the ability to diagnose, oversee and engage in projects related to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Repairs of drywall, paint, carpentry, carpeting, grout, caulking, tile work, and related areas of typical condominium facilities will be regular activities.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician collaborates with Property Management, the Operations Manager, and other stakeholders to address maintenance priorities, is patient, and always works well with others. All duties and responsibilities of this position are always performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the company standards and culture.

Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Able to walk, negotiate stairs and inspect the property daily and identify deficiencies in safety and condition of all parts of the property. Plan, obtain approval, and execute remedial action as appropriate.
- Able to stand continuously throughout the day, often lifting, hauling, dragging, and pushing tools and objects up to 50 lbs.
- Familiar with electric Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and related components.
- Able to expertly repair drywall and related texturing, complete general interior and exterior painting, caulking, furniture, and other general repairs such as adjustment of hinges and door latches and guides.
- Familiar with mechanical pool equipment such as filtration systems and maintenance, pumps, heaters, chemical safety and handling, cleaning, testing of water chemistry and related treatment systems.
- Able to identify, diagnose, and execute repairs and ongoing maintenance tasks. Including knowledge of home appliance maintenance and ability to take apart machines or equipment to remove or replace defective parts.
- Able to reach high areas to exchange light bulbs, replace smoke alarm batteries, and make light ceiling repairs.
- Able to mow, edge walkways and driveways, sweep and shovel snow on walkways and other areas for long periods of time.
- Able to dig holes or light trenching, on rare occasions, i.e. to repair fence posts, access irrigation lines, etc.
- Experience with standard landscaping irrigation systems and to diagnose leaks, replace sprinkler nozzles and valves, program related timers, adjust the system as needed based on water and foliage needs.
- Able to maintain a healthy foliage by researching, consulting professionals, and implementing care plans as necessary, and engage in the work to care for the grounds.
- Able to manage the preventative maintenance program and carry out related work (e.g. schedule fire suppression equipment testing, replace HVAC filters, batteries, program devices, schedule work to be conducted by professionals).
- Resourceful in the use of space, securing and safeguarding business property, assisting the management team to implement safety procedures and protocols for employees and staying owners and guests.
- Able to prioritize work orders in order of safety, owner/guest impact, cost and other criteria as defined by the management team.
- Possess adequate judgement to procure parts, tools, and other supplies in the day-to-day work.
- Possess reliable transportation able to be driven, as needed, for the procurement or transport of property supplies, equipment, laundry, etc.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Able to use modern computer technology and software to review, track, record, request and provide information to others.
- Possess good Time Management skills so that labor, project deadlines and other requirements are met or over-achieved.
- Able to carry out special projects that involve the planning and execution of facility or ground improvements within an approved timeframe and budget. Manage resources and scope of priorities.
- Able to work well with vendors, including professional conduct and good business acumen, obtain multiple bids for required work to be conducted by others, supervise the work of vendors to ensure good quality and value of work, correct pricing, and related best practices.
- Availability to work a varied schedule, often including weekends and holidays.
- Work positively with other employees, and use good communication practices, collaboration, and teamwork as needed and conducive to consistently good operational cadence.
- Function with a continuous improvement mindset. Identify areas of opportunity to enhance safety, condition, and the owner/guest experience.
- Tools and truck to haul are preferred
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma, secondary education or technical training certification.
Minimal experience or proficiency in the essential skills is important to show,
Previous experience similar property or hotel, resort, or other of similar size complexity is preferred.
Must speak and read fluent English for vendor engagements, to communicate with property residents/guests.
Proficient in typical business mathematics to obtain service quotes and pricing, invoice review and validation, reading and conforming with operating budgets.
Benefits:
Base Compensation: $22-26 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, some of which will be tested ‘on the job’.
