Position Summary
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator is a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who supports the pastors and ministry programs of the church. This individual serves as the first point of contact for guests and the public, both in person and through digital channels, and plays a key role in office administration, database management, and communication initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support
- Provide general support to pastors and ministry staff (e.g., correspondence, filing, copying).
- Coordinate church-wide calendar and scheduling for campus events.
- Maintain supply inventory for the office and church kitchens.
- Manage daily office operations, solving logistical or scheduling conflicts.
Database & Information Management
- Maintain up-to-date records for members, visitors, and church events using the church’s management software (currently Church Community Builder).
- Record and report data such as attendance, stewardship, baptisms, weddings, confirmations, etc.
- Generate weekly and periodic reports for leadership.
- Ensure database accuracy and provide software support for staff and laity.
Communications, Marketing & Public Relations
- Serve as the church's primary receptionist (in person, phone, email, and social media).
- Collect, format, and distribute weekly e-news and other promotional content.
- Assist with worship materials, slides, and visual content as needed.
- Maintain and update the church website, app, and social media platforms.
- Design and produce church bulletins and printed materials with input from the worship team.
- Promote church events and initiatives via social media and other outreach channels.
- Assist with podcast setup and editing in collaboration with church leaders.
QualificationsRequired:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an office setting involving content creation, bulletins, and digital media.
Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Certifications or training in graphic design, PR, or digital media.

Pay: $22.50 - $24.50 per hour
